What Teencamps-UK Is — And Is Not
Clear guidance for families considering private therapeutic support. Choosing the appropriate level of support requires clarity.
Teencamps-UK provides this from the outset.
What Teencamps-UK Is
One-to-One Therapeutic Residential Support
Private, one-to-one residential support for teenagers and young adults aged 12+.
All work is led and overseen by a professionally trained psychotherapist with over 26 years’ experience.
Individually Designed, Not Programme-Based
There is no fixed programme. Each residential is designed around the individual, their behaviour, and their family context.
Therapeutic in Purpose
Residentials are structured around behavioural development, emotional regulation, accountability, and maturity.
Settings are calm and contained. This is therapeutic work, not recreation.
Appropriate Where Conventional Therapy Has Failed
We work with young people who may be resistant to traditional therapy, school systems, or authority-based interventions.
Discreet and International
Support is provided in the UK and Spain.
Families in the UK and internationally are accepted.
What Teencamps-UK Is Not
Not a Holiday or Activity-Based Camp
There are no scheduled leisure activities.
Environment supports the work; it is not the focus.
Not a Bootcamp or Punitive Model
No punishment, humiliation, or coercive methods are used.
Work is firm, relational, and psychologically informed.
Not a Crisis or Psychiatric Service
TeenCamps-UK does not provide emergency mental health care, hospitalisation, or constant clinical supervision.
Not Group-Led by Default
Group work is not the core model.
One-to-one support remains central.
